As a Dr. Pepper addict I applaud you. How did you do it? I made it 9 months without a Dr Pepper but then had one & it was all over for me. The headaches were too much for me to deal with.
I've gone from about 3 colas a day down to about 1 every other day over the last three months -- and I honestly think that it has made a difference (weight, energy, etc).
ZP - I pretty much followed Patia's method. Since I'm a fiend for ice in an open cup, I drink plenty of ice water every day. (I drank lots of DP when I was a boy in TX, but not for many years now!)
David - eventually you may completely lose the desire for cola - the flavor is so sugary & intense.
Patia - I've really cut back on the iced tea, too. If I drink very much I get the jitters, so it was easy to quit ;-)

Hooray. I've quit my Diet Coke habit, too, since Jan. 1. I still have one every now and then, but try to stick to water, sparkling water or iced tea.

I've actually been brewing green tea for its various health benefits. It's lovely iced.
