Superfunny - a movie about male bravado, humiliation, self-confidence, and separation anxiety. Also: alcohol-fueled parties and anatomical illustrations. The movie is raunchy (mostly verbally), but not in the sniggering, misogynistic, stupid way such movies were back when I was a teenager.
Read a couple of of reviews before you go: Variety, Rolling Stone.
The movie is rated "R", so maybe we'll be spared criticism from prigs who prefer movies that glorify torture and murder.

Interesting last line. Are you referring to any particular prigs or just anyone who decries sex and raunchiness while uplifting violence in the name of some misguided moral belief?
The latter
Of course, I have not rigorously determined whether there actually are any folks who supported "The Passion of the Christ" (say), but who will deplore "Superbad" ;-) So maybe I'm just putting down a strawman.

In a way, my approach to movies is similar to my approach to novels. Maybe I'll write a blog post about this ;-)
Nor can I be sure there are any such people, but that begs the question: why is it so easy for me to imagine them?

Sounds like you've hit on a good topic for a new blog. I'll look for it just as soon as I'm finished watching this series of raunchy movies I rented from Netflix. ;-)
Well, so far I haven't seen any negative reviews of the movie. Maybe I jumped the gun.

I've rec'd mailings from Netflix, but have yet to signup. When I like a movie, I will watch it multiple times (kinda like a little kid).
I like Netflix. Not only do they have a huge selection and plenty of foreign films (unlike the Bozeman Blockbuster), I love the convenience of dropping the flicks in the mail and no late fees. Plus they have a new feature that allows you to intantly watch vids on your computer (limited selection).
I rent flicks from "Movie Lovers" (including some foreign flicks, IIRC) - it's right next door to where I shop for groceries.
