I underwent a gingivoplasty this morning. For my case it was a purely cosmetic procedure - a "gum lift" as it were, to make my teeth seem longer.
Instead of a scalpel, the dentist used a Sensimatic Electrosurge 600.

OK, as long as I don't poke my gums! Should be all healed in a couple of days. And then another dentist appointment...
