MT license plates



Top: old plates
Bottom: new plates

The "6" means these tags are for a car registered in Gallatin County, which was the 6th most populous county when Montana became a state.

So that's how they assigned those numbers. I did not know that.

My tags are 56. Dead last.

Thanks for the interesting tidbit, I also didnt know how the counties were assigned numbers.
